Coffee for the World was founded on a simple premise: Change the world with the best coffees the world has to offer.
For every bag of coffee you buy,
we give $1.75 to the partner organization you choose with your bag selection.
Shade grown?
From Central America to Africa to Asia, we carefully select the finest coffees available in each region. Our coffees are 100% Premium Arabica beans, the great majority of which are Shade Grown (Kenyan AA is grown on the savannas of east Africa; the shade needed for this world-class coffee to flourish is provided by the regular cloud cover).
Fair trade?
Our primary concern is the cup quality of the coffee. We believe that the farmers producing the world's best coffees are those who are employing sustainable agricultural methods and treating their workers with respect and dignity. Due to sound environmental and socially-responsible practices, these farmers consistently produce the world's best coffees and receive premium prices for their crop. This is what we call fairly-traded coffee, and from these farmers we make our coffee selections.
Shall we burn it?
No, we don't burn our coffee. For that matter, we don't over-roast it, and we don't under-roast it. We roast it...perfectly! There are many reasons to burn or blacken coffee and none of them are good. If you're looking for a darker roast, try our Explorer's Mug, but don't be surprised when you can taste more than burned oil and ash!
